About

Before joining Platform Litigation, Abdul ran his own high volume legal practice focusing on criminal law. Prior to his own practice, he also worked for Legal Aid in Northern Manitoba for two years.  During these two years, Adbul helped people navigate their legal challenges in multiple cities in the region. Currently, he regularly represents clients from all socioeconomic backgrounds at various courthouses throughout the Lower Mainland. Abdul also has experience with serious offences, ranging from kidnapping to aggravated and sexual assault. Abdul received his J.D. in 2019 from the Schullich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after which he spent a summer volunteering at Legal Aid in Nova Scotia. During law school, Abdul completed a placement in the Criminal Clinic with a premier criminal law practitioner in Halifax, where he assisted in high profile sexual assault cases. It was here where he gained invaluable experience learning how to deal with high pressure situations. Abdul was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020. Prior to law school, Abdul earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in social work at the University of British Columbia, working in government agencies dealing with sensitive subject matters. Abdul grew up in the lower mainland. In his free time, he practices submission grappling and enjoys watching MMA.
