Amy is a partner at Curtis Dawe with over 27 years of litigation experience focused on Natural Resource and Energy Law, Construction Law, Media Law and Family Law Amy is a partner with Curtis Dawe Lawyers with over 27 years of litigation experience in range of practice areas. She completed a B.Sc.(Biology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1992 and a LL.B from the University of New Brunswick in 1995. Amy’s primary litigation practice includes Natural Resource and Energy Law, Construction Law Media Law and Family Law. Her practice in the Oil and Gas industry in Newfoundland and Labrador has been based on regulatory aspects including administration of the Atlantic Accord legislation and arbitration of royalty disputes. Her work in Construction Law includes work with municipal governments and well as large national contractors operating in the region. In her media law practice, Amy advises broadcasters on issues relating to defamation law, publication bans, sealing orders. Amy’s family law practice includes a no- nonsense and practical approach combined with the knowledge and experience to help client’s navigate the difficult challenges that family law matters entail.
