Mr. Bonnell is a partner of Curtis Dawe with 50 years of experience in a wide range of practice areas.He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science and History) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 1970. He was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in December 1970.For many years, Mr. Bonnell was an instructor in the Corporate Matters and Commercial Financing section of the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society.  He is also a former governor and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.Awards and RecognitionMr. Bonnell was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1992.Outside the FirmMr. Bonnell is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Canadian Bar Association. He is an elder of St. David’s Presbyterian Church and a member of the Presbytery of Newfoundland of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
