She worked for Osler and McMillan, two of Canada’s top law firms, prior to launching Reconstruct LLP with her partner. Caitlin primarily practices commercial law, with an emphasis on, restructurings, insolvency, secured transactions, reorganizations, workouts, and debtor/creditor law. She has been involved in multi-jurisdictional proceedings under both the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. She has acted for debtor corporations, lending syndicates, purchasers, and court officers. Caitlin’s practice is focused on distressed situations and, in particular, she has developed a deep and loyal client base in the technology and cannabis space. She appreciates the many unique issues that affect early-stage growth and provides practical solutions for unique problems. Caitlin is a graduate of McMaster University and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. She has authored numerous articles on insolvency-related subjects, including several publications featured in the Annual Review of Insolvency Law.
