Chad has practiced law since 2001. He worked at a large regional law firm for eight years before joining a boutique tax law firm from 2008 to 2015. Since then, Chad has focused his practice on representing Canadian taxpayers in all areas of tax litigation and dispute resolution. With experience in audits, objections, civil tax appeals, and criminal tax offences, Chad has appeared in several Provincial Courts, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Tax Court of Canada. His expertise includes defending taxpayers against charges under theCriminal Code,Income Tax Act, andExcise Tax Act. An active contributor to the field, Boris has published on a variety of tax issues and has taught law-related subjects to accounting students at George Brown College (Toronto) and Curtin Law School (Perth, Australia).
