“Ms. Schurman’s experience in criminal prosecutions will be an asset to the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service,” said Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions. Schurman graduated in 2002 from Mount Allison University with a bachelor of arts with distinction. In 2005, she graduated on the dean’s list from the University of New Brunswick law school. Schurman articled with McInnes Cooper in Charlottetown and was admitted to the bar of Prince Edward Island in 2006.
