Colin has a broad business law practice focused primarily in the areas of corporate, commercial, and insolvency law. Colin routinely assists companies with general corporate matters including business structuring, negotiating and drafting complex agreements, governance, purchasing and selling assets, managing large projects and procurements, issuing and transferring shares, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial financings. Along with handling personal and real property security matters and advising pursuant to Canada’s bankruptcy and restructuring regimes under theBankruptcy and Insolvency ActandCompanies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. Colin’s clients range from small and medium sized businesses to large organizations and financial institutions. Colin is a member of the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society and Canadian Bar Association and has served as the Chair of the CBA Nova Scotia Insolvency Section and member of the CBA National Insolvency Section Executive Committee.
