Among Debra’s primary practice areas are commercial/social hosts, occupiers’ liability, motor vehicle accidents, and general liability resulting in personal injury. She has extensive experience defending broker’s liability claims and other professional liability claims. Subrogation does not fall within Debra’s legal practice area. With a successful track record in all levels of law in Alberta, Debra is a leader in the field. Previously, she served on the Insurance Committee of the Law Society of Alberta, conducting governance work related to insurance law. Debra is the author of several academic articles on a variety of insurance/litigation topics, and she has been a presenter at the Alberta Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters conventions as well as a series of in-house seminars and webinars for insurance clients. In her diverse experience working throughout the legal industry, Debra has also hosted and organized webinars for the defence organization Risk Management Counsel (RMC).
