During law school, Devan enjoyed serving as Vice-President of the Business Law Group. Prior to law school, Devan studied Environmental Studies at the University of Manitoba focusing in law and policy, where he received the Medal for Highest Standing Graduate for a three-year degree in the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth and Resources.Devan enjoys playing hockey in his free time, previously playing for the St. Vital Victorias of the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League, and winning the Dale Masson Memorial Western Canadian Law Hockey Championship during law school.
