This advocacy work brought him all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador and various administrative bodies. Devin holds combined Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
