Elizabeth E. MacPherson

Elizabeth MacPherson, B.A. (Industrial Relations), McGill University, 1971; LL.B. University of Ottawa, 1992; LL.M., University of Ottawa, 2000, is a retired mediator and arbitrator. She was Chairperson of the Canada Industrial Relations Board from 2008 until 2014. She also served as the Director General of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (1999-2007); Executive Director & General Counsel, Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal (1993-1999); and as a Conciliation/Mediation Officer with Labour Canada from 1978-1993.  Elizabeth first served on the Board of Directors of the Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) from 2017 to 2023, including a two year term as Chair of the Board. She was elected as Co-president of the KDH Auxiliary in 2025 and in this capacity she represents the Auxiliary on the KDH Board.
