Erin George has over a decade of experience living and working in the North. She combines her legal skills with her deep understanding of the North to provide trusted guidance to families navigating challenging times. Erin earned both common law and civil law degrees from McGill University in 2005 and was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2006. She began her legal career in Montreal before moving to Nunavut in 2008 to work with the Government of Nunavut. In addition to family law, her broad legal expertise includes legislative drafting, administrative law, residential tenancies, and guardianship and trusteeship matters. Beyond her legal practice, Erin is the former chair and current member of the of the Discipline Committee of the Law Society of Nunavut. Fluent in French, she offers legal services in both official languages.
