Faraz joined Stewart Sharma Harsanyi as an articling student and was called to the Bar in 2014 and has been with the firm since. Faraz practices in all areas of Immigration and Family Law. Faraz has experience in appearing before all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court of Canada as well as the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench in Family law matters. Faraz’s practice areas allow him to assist clients with complex matters where Family Law and Immigration Law overlap, including assisting and defending marriage fraud cases, legal validity of marriage issues and annulments.  Faraz is also often asked to provide expert opinion letters in criminal defence matters to address the impact of criminal law proceedings in immigration matters, or “crimmigration”.
