Garth is a former Partner and Of Counsel of Taylor MacLellan Cochrane. He is currently enjoying retirement. Garth was a Naval pilot with the Royal Canadian Navy, 1962-1969. Pilot, 420 Air Reserve Squadron, 1979-1983. He was admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society in June 1975. Garth has been a Nova Scotia Barristers' Society representative on the three person working group that authored a Discussion Paper Prepared For Nova Scotia Barristers' Society & The Association of Nova Scotia Land Surveyors by the Working Group Respecting Parcel Description Questions, 2008. This report addresses matters of mutual concern to the two professions and recommends legislative and procedural changes to harmonize the work of lawyers and surveyors.
