His practice involves completing commercial transactions, such as purchases and sales of businesses, commercial financings and drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements. Another significant aspect of Jeffery’s practice is regulatory law. He advises clients on various regulatory obligations, including environmental considerations, in the aquaculture, agriculture, forestry, energy and other related sectors. He has also represented clients before the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board. An extension of his regulatory practice, Jeffery has a special focus on Aboriginal law, particularly with respect to aboriginal consultation and engagement, as well as advising indigenous people, indigenous communities and developers regarding economic development on reserve lands. His practice uniquely integrates his knowledge and experience in commercial, regulatory and Aboriginal law to provide well-rounded advice in these contexts.
