Karina’s practice is centered on professional regulation, privacy law, and labour and employment matters. In the area of professional regulation, she has guided clients through regulatory proceedings; contributed to the development of policies and legislation for regulatory bodies; and delivered education on regulatory processes, legislative updates, and emerging trends in the field. Drawing on more than ten years of experience as a Registered Nurse, both in Nova Scotia and in remote fly-in communities in Nunavut, Karina has provided opinions on a broad range of health law issues. When it comes to privacy law, Karina has offered guidance on how privacy legislation applies to different types of clients, developed educational materials focused on privacy in the legal profession, and supported institutions in managing privacy breaches.
