BiographyKristy practices family and criminal law, and she guides her clients through some of their most challenging and stressful life experiences. When clients are in the midst of transition and uncertainty, Kristy helps them to navigate the complexities of the legal system without judgement. She offers practical, direct advice to her clients to deal with the reality of their individual circumstances.Kristy is a passionate advocate. She represented Dalhousie University at the Gale Cup Moot (criminal law) during her third year of law school, and since her call to the Bar, she has attended the Osgoode Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop. She appears on a regular basis in Family Court, Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Supreme Court (Family Division). In addition to her family law and criminal defence practice, Kristy also provides independent legal advice and representation to victims with respect to their rights and privacy interests in the context of criminal litigation.
