Kyle DeYoung is the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Consultant with Lichen Consulting Inc. Kyle is a highly motivated, multidisciplinary professional with extensive experience in policy development, governance, organizational strategy, and legal analysis in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Kyle works hard to ensure that Lichen is a high performance and trusted organization, and provides senior support to client projects in a variety of sectors. Kyle has more than a decade of experience in policy development, legal analysis, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Lichen, Kyle served as a Legal Counsel for the Government of Nunavut, Policy Analyst with the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, and a Legal Consultant with the World Health Organization. He also served as a Labour Relations Consultant for Halifax Regional Municipality and as a Consultant and Advisor for Dalhousie University. Before his current role at Lichen, Kyle was a sub-consultant with Lichen and contributed to a variety of governance, strategy, and policy projects. As a Legal Counsel with the Government of Nunavut, Kyle was involved with files across the territorial government, including health policy and legislation development, employee and labour relations and negotiations, human rights applications, coroners’ inquests, and major commercial transactions. Kyle is a former board member of the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum and the Nunavut Law Foundation, and was a member of the Finance Committee of the Law Society of Nunavut.
