With his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta and several academic awards and scholarships, including the Walter and Edith (Hughes) Fryers Undergraduate Scholarship, the Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Scholarship, a Faculty of Law Entrance Scholarship, and the Odisha Family Prize in Mediation Advocacy, Leigh demonstrated his dedication to excelling in the legal sphere. Since completing his article in 2021, Leigh has carried on that dedication to excellence in a broad corporate commercial solicitor practice. Leigh’s experience in navigating asset and share transactions, corporate reorganizations, new corporate start-ups, and partnership arrangements has helped numerous clients achieve their goals.  He also provides practical legal solutions to navigate shareholder disputes and corporate breakups when commercial relationships take an unexpected turn.  Leigh’s corporate commercial practice also focuses on assisting First Nation clients in obtaining outcomes that match their goals and needs. Outside of the ‘boardroom based’ practice, Leigh deals in franchising matters, commercial leasing, and real estate transactions.
