Louis Belleau practices law in the fields of criminal, penal and disciplinary law since 1981. Mr. Belleau has appeared before all courts of criminal jurisdiction in the Province of Quebec and, on occasion, outside Quebec. He appeared many times before the Supreme Court of Canada and was appointed by the Court as amicus curiae in four cases. Mr. Belleau has published several articles on various subjects related to criminal law and has taught criminal law at the School of the Quebec Bar. He served as counsellor and then Vice-President of the Montreal Association of Criminal Lawyers and was President of the Quebec Bar’s Committee on Criminal Legislation.
