Maia received her Juris Doctor in 2025 from Robson Hall, Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba. Before attending law school, Maia graduated with an Advanced Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba, majoring in Political Studies with a minor in French Language Studies.During her time in law school, Maia received the Kenneth A. Filkow Q.C. Memorial Prize in Negotiations. Maia also participated in the Wilson Moot in English, and both the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and the Laskin Moot as a French language participant.Throughout law school, Maia was involved in the Bilingual Students Association, the Environmental Law Group, and volunteered with the Anti-Racism in Sport Campaign.In her spare time, Maia enjoys spending time with loved ones, travelling, and participating in her favourite sports.
