My teammate and I represented a First Nation seeking the enforcement of linguistic protections promised to them through the Indigenous Languages Act, that the government respect its obligations arising from the honour of the Crown, and that the regulations depriving them of exclusive control over their educational facilities be declared ultra vires their enabling statute.
