Mélanie is a lawyer in our Moncton office with a practice focused in Estates and Financial matters. Mélanie is specialized in Estate Planning, Probate Court applications and representing Executors/Trustees in the Administration of Estates and Trusts. Mélanie also has significant Litigation experience, including Estate Litigation and Financial Recovery. Originally from New Brunswick, Mélanie is fluent in both French and English. Before joining McInnes Cooper, Mélanie practiced in Alberta, where she gained significant court experience. She obtained her law degree from University of Alberta and is a member of both, the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Law Society of Alberta. She is also a full member of STEP Canada (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), through which she has completed the STEP Diploma program and has obtained her TEP designation. Mélanie’s TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) designation is internationally recognized and demonstrates expertise in the field of Trust and Estates. In order to obtain her TEP designation, Mélanie has proven that she has a combination of specialist qualifications and experience, including significant involvement at a specialist level with inheritance and succession planning.
