Mercedes Ayala

Mercedes joined Mitousis Family Law Group following her call to the Bar, eager to work in an environment where negotiation and collaboration are central to resolving family law matters. Prior to joining the MFLG team, Mercedes completed her articles with Manitoba Justice - Legal Services Branch where she gained litigation experience and managed the Maintenance Enforcement Program docket.  Her hardworking nature and strong negotiation skills provide clients with assurance when moving forward through difficult issues, including separation and divorce.  Mercedes believes there are various ways to resolve conflict that can help parties remain amicable; her focus is to assist clients in finding practical solutions that fit their families. Mercedes immigrated to Canada at 9 years of age and knows the challenges that people with English as a second language experience. Fluently bilingual, she provides legal services in Spanish in order to help clients navigate the complexity of the legal system in a comfortable environment.
