One of Canada's most prestigious lawyers, Morris was a graduate of the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta. Morris was an expert in the areas of Civil Litigation and Construction Law. He spent most of his career in private practice in Ottawa and subsequently joined one of Canada's largest law firms, Lang Michener, as in-house counsel. Morris generously represented charitable causes he believed in and freely gave of his time and experience whenever needed. A colleague summed him up perfectly: "He was a smart, feisty lawyer with a big heart." He will be sorely missed, both professionally and personally.
