Muriel Cookey is a Senior Solicitor at Nova Scotia Power Inc., where she leads the negotiation, drafting, interpretation, and review of contracts and legal agreements that support the utility’s daily operations. With a strong background in both public service and energy regulation, Muriel brings a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to complex legal and regulatory issues. Muriel is a dual-qualified lawyer, having been called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016 and the Nova Scotia Bar in 2024. She holds both a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
