Over the course of his career, Mr. Porlier has acquired extensive experience working in different Cain Lamarre offices, notably in Val-d’Or, Saguenay and Sept-Îles. He has represented his clients in all the Quebec courts, in the fields of Aboriginal law, constitutional law and business law. He has also given talks at conferences and taught several courses on the establishment of partnerships with Indigenous entities, economic development and sustainable development. His academic and professional contributions are a testament to his professional expertise and devotion to his clients, which have made him a leader in his field. Mr. Porlier has a Law degree from Université Laval and is also actively involved in his community. He is a master’s-level instructor and one of the few trainers recognized by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. For his outstanding contributions, he received a Global Excellence Award for Outstanding Aboriginal Lawyer in Quebec in 2020 and a Legal Award in Commercial Law in Canada in 2019. His involvement in the community and the profession reflects his desire to give back to society and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
