He then joined Newton & Associates as an associate that same year and became managing partner in 2012. His focus is on criminal defence - Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and regulatory offences.Pat has practiced all facets of Criminal Law and has been involved in a number of high-profile cases in Nova Scotia, including numerous murder trials.
