Raj obtained a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2003. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in May of 2004. For over 10 years he was a partner at a litigation firm in Burnaby. In 2014 he foundedBasra Law Group. Raj is anexperienced trial lawyer, having conducted numerous trials as acriminal defence lawyer. His trial work has included several high-profile murder anddrug casesaround the province. He has also been retained to defend clients charged with offences in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories. His trial work has included both judge alone and jury trials as well as appeals to the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Raj understands that being charged with acriminal offencecan have a serious impact on a person’s life.
