Randy graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law in 1978. He articled to former King’s Bench Justice James D. Milliken and Wayne M. Rusnak, K.C., and has been engaged in the private practice of law in Yorkton since 1979. He has been a partner with the law firm since January 1983. He was named Queen’s Counsel in 2013. Randy is engaged in the general practice of law with primary emphasis on civil litigation and labour relations. He has appeared as counsel in all levels of court, including Provincial Court, Court of King’s Bench, Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada, and courts in Manitoba. He has acted as counsel before various administrative boards and tribunals, including Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, Pension Appeals Board and adjudications pursuant to The Labour Standards Act and the Canada Labour Code. He has acted as counsel before and sat as arbitrator on boards of arbitration.Randy is a past SaskTel board member, executive member of the Yorkton & District Chamber of Commerce, Yorkton Curling Club, Yorkton Sunrise Lions Club, Yorkton Minor Sports Association and Yorkton Cardinals Baseball Club.
