Rudy established the firm in 1957 upon graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School. Rudy’s practice included all facets of real estate law and various corporate/commercial transactions. Born in Toronto to Italian immigrants who championed education, Rudy embraced his parent's philosophy in his law practice: “Education breeds intelligence, intelligence breeds understanding, and understanding breeds resolution.” Applying this philosophy to his practice, Rudy helped clients find creative solutions to problems, make informed decisions, and reach favourable agreements. This standard has inspired the following generations of Brattys lawyers, who are equipped with education and training from Canada’s most prestigious law schools and remain committed to the philosophy of life-long learning, continuous improvement, and excellence, carrying on Rudy’s legacy and continuing to provide innovative and exceptional legal services to Brattys’ clients.
