Shelley graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce and the University of New Brunswick with a Juris Doctor. She articled in Toronto with Leo J. Dillon, a specialist in the area of Workplace Safety and Insurance. Shelley is a past member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2015. Since being called, Shelley has built a practice primarily in personal injury, long term disability and wills and estates. Shelley has appeared in Provincial Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Shelley was made a partner of the firm in April 2023. Shelley is originally from the Ottawa area and first visited St. John’s in May of 2004. She has since happily made Newfoundland and Labrador her permanent home. Outside of work, Shelley enjoys photography, painting and camping with her husband and children. Shelley became a Living Liver Donor in 2021 and is happy to discuss her experience with anyone considering Living Kidney or Liver Donation.
