Stephanie AxmannSenior Counsel Stephanie maintains a solicitor’s practice focused primarily on First Nations economic development and commercial transactions, governance, and natural resource, environmental and regulatory matters. Stephanie is particularly driven to work with her Indigenous clients on initiatives that contribute to their community and economic prosperity and that support land and environmental stewardship on their own terms. Stephanie was called to the B.C. bar in 2009. Prior to joining Woodward & Company, Stephanie was legal counsel in the BC Ministry of Attorney General, where she advised on Indigenous legal relations matters in respect of forests and lands, mining and energy, transportation, environment, and reconciliation initiatives. Previously, she developed her Aboriginal law practice at a leading national firm in Vancouver, where she played a key leadership role in advancing its national Aboriginal law practice.
