About
Theresa is a Lebanese-Canadian professional who grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia, before moving to Halifax in 2015 to pursue higher education. She received her Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Degree in International Development and a minor in Law, Justice and Society from Dalhousie University in 2019. Theresa continued her academic journey at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law, earning her JD in 2022. Theresa has a strong foundation in research and advocacy. She co-authored the articleThe Gendered Construction of Border-Crossing in Canadaand had the opportunity to represent Dalhousie University by presenting her paper at the Society for the Study of Gloria Anzaldúa conference in San Antonio, Texas, in 2019. Her work was later published in the Journal for Undergraduate Ethnography and El Mundo Zurdo 8 in 2021.
