Vicki Wallace-Godbout was born and raised on the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, New Brunswick. A lawyer and small business owner with extensive experience in business development and management, Ms. Wallace-Godbout is known for her ongoing efforts in economic development initiatives with First Nations communities. Admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 2004, Ms. Wallace-Godbout co-founded the law firm Soucy Richard Godbout Wallace serving the Greater Moncton area, where she practiced until 2010, mainly in the fields of Property Law, Corporate Commercial and Family Law. Ms. Wallace-Godbout is a past director of the Madawaska Maliseet Economic Development Board of Directors, which was mandated to develop and manage the Grey Rock Power Centre in Northwestern New Brunswick. She also served on the board of the Edmundston Chamber of Commerce, the National Committee for the IX Jeux de la Francophonie 2021 and on the board of NB Power, a New Brunswick crowned Corporation where she sat on the Audit and Safety, Environment and Human Resources committees. She currently sits on the University of Moncton Evolution Fundraising Campaign.
