A heterodox thinker, Youmn loves the uphill battle and thrives on tackling tough legal problems with fresh, pragmatic strategies. Her legal experience included work with tenancy tribunals, legal aid, NL criminal defence firm, and Crown prosecution offices across NS, NL, and ON. Youmn attended the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Faculty of Law, where she was awarded the Richard J Scott, QC and Veronica Mondesir Scholarships. Throughout law school, Youmn contributed as the student coordinator for the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic. And year after year, her peers elected her to the UNB Law Student Government, where she served as 1L Rep, 2L Rep, and later as Vice President of Finance & Operations. Youmn was also selected to represent UNB Law at the Canadian National Negotiation Moot Competition and as a student intern for the NB legal aid and the NB residential tenancy tribunal.
